Albino Rocca Rosso di Rocca
Pieminte, Italy
80% Nebbiolo, 10% Barbera and 10% Cabernet Franc
blend from 100% Barbaresco vines
Expect oodles of dark cherry, blackberry and bitter chocolate like aromas and flavours from this Nebbiolo, As it is not 100% Nebbiolo, it cannot be labelled Barbaresco. On the other hand it could be labelled Nebbiolo d''Alba, but (and here''s an insight into the integrity of the man) Angelo Rocca isn''t comfortable labelling any wine that isn''t 100% Nebbiolo as ''Nebbiolo'' even though the law permits it. A medium bodied, juicy palate with lots of the same characters as the nose but also resinous, sappy complexity and some powdery tannins. Terrific value and dangerously loveable, entry-level example of Barbaresco and the wines of Albino Rocca
2016 Argiano Rosso di Montalcino
Argiano Rosso di Montalcino, TUSCANY, ITALY
This wine is fresh, vivacious and full of “easy to taste” but generous fruity flavours that are sufficiently versatile to develop greater depth over the years spent in the bottle. Deep ruby red in colour, medium bodied with a good concentration on the mid-palate. Elegant in the mouth, it is well balanced with tempting flavours of red berries, violets, menthol and earthiness. A generous wine with smooth, velvety tannins that will satisfy all Sangiovese lovers. The Sangiovese Grosso, recieves the same care and attention devoted to our Brunello, from vineyard management to bottling. The grapes are vinified in stainless steel tanks, with the must fermenting in contact with the skins for about two weeks, extending this time to three weeks if the grapes come from the best vineyards, in order to obtain the best possible concentration. It then ages in French oak barriques which have already been used once before and in larger Slavonian oak barrels until bottling time the following autumn.

A special project that enhances with Innovation the uniqueness of the grape varieties of the Langhe .The Barbera D'Alba DOC is located in Italy's north-western region of Piedmont. This wine is a dry style, full and lively. Excellent with food, particularly red meat. Careful selection of the best Barbera grapes followed by the slower control temperature vinification gives birth to this excellent wine. With intense red colour and floral hints, combined with spicy notes. Slightly tannic thanks for the short aging large wooden barrels . A great value introduction to quality Italian wines.

2017 Poggiotondo Chianti Superiore DOCG
Chianti, Tuscany, Italy
Sangiovese
Certified Organic
Soft, pliant and inviting, with lovely raciness to its red cherry and plum fruit. Medium in body.
Deep garnet red. On the nose, dried oregano aromas are entwined with dark and red cherries. Ripe cherries on the palate are balanced with grainy tannins so typical of traditional Chianti, with a vibrant, fresh acidity on the finish.
Let this wine take you away to the beauty and history of Tuscany, and the picturesque family estate of Alberto and Alessandra Antonini, where the grapes are grown, looking out across the rounded hills, the Poggiotondo.
