"94 points + Special Value"
"Selectiv'-harvested, a mix of new and old clones destemmed and co-fermented, 10 days on skins, then pressed to French barriques (10% new) for mlf and 11 months maturation. Bright, clear crimson-purple-hue; Helen's Hill nailed this wine in a hectic vintage, the fragrant, high-toned flavours of red cherries and berries make oak a vehicle, not an end in itself." 2014 Prince Albert
Prince Albert Pinot Noir, GEELONG, AUSTRALIA
Not much to look at if judging the label alone, but the wine is of very high quality. Fully organic (certified since 1998) estate grown fruit from very old vines makes a wine of tremendous depth and character. It is an earthy pinot with soft red fruits and gentle tannin. Very elegant, and will not disappoint.
